Nicky Dawda

A native of India, Nicky Dawda’s careers and studies have taken him all over the world - living in Hong Kong, London, and Tokyo. He finally settled on Wall Street in New York and served as the Chief Technology Officer of a hedge fund.  During this time, Nicky made his first, notable foray into hospitality with Noodle Bar in NYC in 2006.  Following the opening success, in 2008, Dawda opened a second location on the Lower East Side.  A third location is set for Lake Bluff, Chicago.

Dawda’s innate epicurean passion stems from sitting in on early cooking lessons his mother gave to housewives in India. Dawda is currently publishing a selection of his mother’s recipes.  Dawda grew up in a traditional Indian home where tea was a daily ritual.  From an early age, he learned the numerous health and wellness benefits of tea.   A vegetarian since he was 11 years old, Dawda pairs his culinary interests and adventurous spirit with being an avid cyclist, yoga enthusiast, and licensed private pilot.

Kiley Holliday

Kiley Holliday, the youngest female Tea Master in the U.S., certified by the American Tea Masters Association, was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, and moved to New York to attend the prestigious New York University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in History and Spanish in 2005. In late 2007, Holliday satisfied her passion for both a healthy lifestyle and education by teaching Vinyasa style yoga classes along with wellness and nutrition counseling throughout NYC.

In 2007, Holliday met Dawda while on a yoga retreat in Guatemala. They became fast friends based on their like-minded interests in healthy and yogic lifestyles.  Following this, the two decided to join their passions by collaborating on l'Âge de Thé. Kiley’s interest in tea began several years earlier when, as a student at NYU, she decided to switch from espresso to loose leaf teas providing her with a more calm and focused energy.  Also an avid cyclist and yoga instructor, Holliday attributes her interest in holistic living to her mother, who had studied and practiced alternative medicine since she was a young child.  Holliday is currently completing her MA in History at NYU in addition to sourcing and blending hundreds of l'Âge de Thé’s unique loose-leaf teas.
